Born in Moscow, Russia, Yuliya Makarova lived there during early stage of her art career. Yuliya worked at the Lowe Worldwide Russian division advertising agency for 7 years. A drop-out from Financial Institute, she graduated from Parsons The New School for Design with B.F.A. in Illustration in May' 08.  Yuliya received MFA in Printmaking, minor in Painting from Texas Tech School of Art in August 2012. Makarova is Texas Tech Graduate Certification Program Candidate with concentration in Art History Criticism Theory. Studio-wise while ideas of intuition are lost in translation, the visual program of her work reveals an obdurate determination to create a bridge between printmaking and painting.
